Breaking Dawn, I want to see you all over again

I have been waiting patiently for over a year to see Breaking Dawn, Part 1... first movie of the last part of the vampires, werewolves and humans I have come to know and love. Friday, November 18th was a big deal for me. I purchased advanced tickets for my girlfriends Megan, Amanda, Ashley and I for the 7:00 show at Marcus Mequon.

My anticipation yesterday was at an all time high... SO needless to say once work was over, I raced to meet my friends for happy hour before heading to the theatre. As soon as 6:30 hits, we get into our cars and head over to the movie. I grab the tickets from the kiosk, we get in line for some food, then get to our seats, pretty good seats if I do say so myself :) I love previews, but watching these previews seems almost like a tease... just get to the good stuff already! However, I will say there is one preview that looks pretty good - it's for a movie with Harry Potter, called The Woman in Black. Creepy!

After what seems like forever, the movie finally starts, and I am jacked up - I am ready for the beginning of the end of this saga which has consumed a small part of me over the last 4 years. And it did not disappoint! The wedding, the honeymoon, the feud between the vamps and wolves, and even the birth of Renesme.

Obviously for the Twilight fan base, the wedding of Bella and Edward finally making it to the big screen has been highly anticipated! It was a quick little ceremony, however the one thing I can say about the wedding... Bella had one heck of a dress! It was gorgeous, classic fitted white satin with a lace button back down to there... literally. Whenever I get married, I have something to craft my dress after!

The honeymoon has also been something I have looked forward to since they decided to make these books into movies. Isle Esme was exactly as I had imagined it would be - simple, beautiful, luxurious. The honeymoon phase was cut short due to Edward marking up Bella, as well as the pregnancy. Since Edward is basically afraid to touch Bella, she tries very hard... and awkwardly... to get him to. The efforts finally work, and they get it on one more time before finding out she is pregnant.

Which leads me to the pregnancy and birth. Bella is on a fast train to death once her baby starts growing... she is emaciated, her bones are breaking, and according to Carlisle, will kill her before she is able to give birth. Yet, Bella being her melodramatic self, wants to keep the baby. The birthing scene stays exactly along the story in the book, and even knowing what happens, it is the most terrifying thing I have ever seen. Makes you think twice about having unprotected sex with a vampire!

The movie was pretty epic. I could have gone without the wolfpack talking amongst each other in their wolf form, but their human voices... that was downright weird. That could have made its way to the cutting room floor. And the honeymoon could have used a bit more sex, however I understand half the audience Twilight draws is underage girls.... so just have to keep using that imagination ladies!

All in all, it gets 3.75 out of 4 stars in my book.

Now... only one more year before the finale of the saga... hmph. Here's to more waiting!

Hello, Birchbox!

I get a special little present delivered to me around the 10th of the month. It is my favorite time of month... Birchbox time! When I open my mailbox and see that pretty pink package, I can not even begin to describe my feelings... excitement, eagerness, love... it is a struggle to make it up the stairs in my apartment building before starting to rip open the package!

It all started about a year ago... some of the completely fabulous ladies I used to work with said there was a new phenom sweeping the nation... Birchbox. For $10 a month, you get some great products... skincare, haircare, make-up, basically everything a lady needs to stay beautiful! This is all I needed to hear to check it out!

I order my first Birchbox in November of 2010 and waited patiently for it to arrive. When I got it, I was overjoyed! I remember the contents of it to this day... Blow Texturizing Spray, Stila lip glaze in kitten, Jouer tinted illuminator and a super classy cult fragrance by Serge Lutens. I am now obsessed with every single item included in this box...

This was the start of a passionate affair with Birchbox... and one that will continue well into the future! I have gotten full size products in my Birchbox that are worth well more than the $10 spent every month... for instance, Laura Gellar's baked bronzer? Full size is worth $30, this was just one of the lovely treasures I received one month.

Zoya nail polish is another favorite of mine, every season they continue to get the colors right on. And the names are pretty great too, I guarantee they have one named after you!

I'm out for tonight, catch me later!!
