Who's in your top four? Actually, I think it's called the Final Four...

I need to start this by saying I am not into basketball... Not in any way shape or form. I have been to less than 5 bucks games in my life, and college basketball was even less interesting and had even less meaning to me. That is, until I decided to participate in March Madness, or should I say March Mayhem? Apparently it's more politically correct. I happen to be a betting woman when in the mood. And the mood had come on hard and strong. I was ready to take my chances with these college basketball teams.

Thanks to a very good friend, I had solid direction for my top four picks (not after being corrected that it's actually called the Final Four... who knew!). Well, after I had those picks in place, I went to it! There was NO rhyme or reason to why I picked the teams I picked to win. I submitted my bracket and just like that, it was on.

The mayhem started. Having this $10 commitment, it forced me to watch college basketball. I caught myself sitting up in my bed at 10 PM screaming and cheering for my team picks. As the games continued, my bracket blossomed into a beautiful bouquet of green. I was so happy, I checked my standings after while and some how managed to place first among 46 people. I was feeling good about my odds in the tourney...

As the final four competed on Saturday night, I watched in horror as Ohio State lost to Kansas. Well... I fell into second place. I was so close to winning it all! No such luck. But I will say a $20 profit is better than nothing. I am already excited to bet on my top four next year...
