K. Stew - are you for REAL?!

My world was turned upside-down for a minute yesterday when a SHOCKING revelation surfaced... Kristen Stewart has cheated on Robert Pattinson. A.K.A. Edward Cullen. Girrrrrrrl, what the hell were you thinking?!?!

By now, if you don't already know this.... I love the Twilight saga. When it first came out, I was skeptical. But after much convincing from my younger sister, I decided it was time to break down, see the movie and just like that, I fell in love HARD. I read all the books, I have religiously gone to see every movie on opening night. I have purchased many Twilight related things.

When news broke that Kristin and Rob were a real life couple, I loved it! I am not sure if I loved the fact they were together - OR - that Edward and Bella were together. Lets be serious, when you work in that environment and you are cast into a role at the age of 17 of being in love with a sexy Vamp, and he loves you so much he waited 109 years to lose his virginity... I mean at that point are you in love with the person or the character?

K. Stew... I get you're young and naive. What young woman in Hollywood isn't. Unfortunately, you ruined not only your fan base... but a family. Ugh. I need another glass of wine to cope with this drama.

Do you Yogi?

I recently discovered Yogi tea. By recently, I mean about 8 months ago. If you're not familiar with Yogi, they create some phenomenal blends of tea for life's big moments! They have so many  options, I couldn't wait to try them all! In addition to the great varieties they offer, I was beyond excited to discover the tea tags have splendid little inspirational quotes.

Opening a Yogi tea was a real treat! It was so amazing to have my afternoon Perfect Energy Vanilla Spice and get a sweet little quote about life; at night I could relax with my Kava Stress Relief and words of wisdom and love. Some of my favorite quotes include the following:

  • Empty yourself and let the universe fill you (slightly creepy and very inappropriate)
  • You will feel fulfilled when you do the impossible for someone else
  • You are, you have been, you will be, what you do
  • Be so happy that when other look at you, they are happy too
  • Where there is love, there is no question
I can't help but actually 150% agree with that last quote. However... the rest of these quotes are starting to confuse and anger me because they are starting to repeat themselves... in some cases, I have gotten the same quote within a 24 hour period. Completely unacceptable. I need to find a way to tell Yogi, if you don't start changing up your quotes, you're actually adding stress to my life.

I'm going to write with some stellar suggestions.

xoxo, B

what is it with guys and feet?

I love my feet - I have pretty great feet. They are pedicured on a regular basis. And by pedicured, I mean every 2 months I take a cruel instrument(ped-egg) to my feet to sofeten them and make sure they are properly plished and moisturized.... They are a size 8. This is the perfect size. Not too big, not too small. Also not the size to try and find cute shoes, since everyone else wears the same size. My toes are pretty perfect, too. My big toe is TRULY my big toe. My second toe is not longer than my big toe. I cannot tell you how thankful I am for that!!! (No offense if that's how your feet are. If they are, that's awesome. I'm just glad they're not mine)

I just don't understand issues with rubbing a girls feet. Even if they are not dirty? I know at least 4 men who freak out at the mention of feet... Again I don't get it.

I think I need a footrub... I'll be in my bed with lots of lotion and moiusturizing socks.

Have I mentioned I love my feet?

real women kill bugs

We've had a heat wave hit Milwaukee the past two days. It's been hot, humid... and buggy! Don't get me wrong, I love living on the east side next to the lake, but I have to deal with lots of bugs... mosquitoes, moths, bees, hornets, wasps, spiders (about 50 different kinds) centipedes, potato bugs.... ugh. any and all types of creepy crawly critters.

Tonight I found out just how buggy it can really be. I can kill a spider, a centipede, anything really. but tonight defined the fear I feel for insects. I was in my room when I saw something the size of a small bird dive bomb at my head. I screamed and yelled for my roommate - "Steph, there is a moth in my room the size of Egypt!"

After securing her bedroom and bathroom door, she said wait, what about Egypt!? I was confused... I said no there is a moth, it's huge! Apparently so huge I thought it was as large as a middle eastern country. after scouring my room for it with no luck, I finally laid eyes on the beast, and with the help of a bottle of lotion and a small ceramic frog figurine and my most amazing roommate, the beast was gone,

That's how a lady kills a moth.

Who's in your top four? Actually, I think it's called the Final Four...

I need to start this by saying I am not into basketball... Not in any way shape or form. I have been to less than 5 bucks games in my life, and college basketball was even less interesting and had even less meaning to me. That is, until I decided to participate in March Madness, or should I say March Mayhem? Apparently it's more politically correct. I happen to be a betting woman when in the mood. And the mood had come on hard and strong. I was ready to take my chances with these college basketball teams.

Thanks to a very good friend, I had solid direction for my top four picks (not after being corrected that it's actually called the Final Four... who knew!). Well, after I had those picks in place, I went to it! There was NO rhyme or reason to why I picked the teams I picked to win. I submitted my bracket and just like that, it was on.

The mayhem started. Having this $10 commitment, it forced me to watch college basketball. I caught myself sitting up in my bed at 10 PM screaming and cheering for my team picks. As the games continued, my bracket blossomed into a beautiful bouquet of green. I was so happy, I checked my standings after while and some how managed to place first among 46 people. I was feeling good about my odds in the tourney...

As the final four competed on Saturday night, I watched in horror as Ohio State lost to Kansas. Well... I fell into second place. I was so close to winning it all! No such luck. But I will say a $20 profit is better than nothing. I am already excited to bet on my top four next year...

The dirty day old teabag...

I bet your first thought reading the title was a dirty one... Good, I like where your head is at. It is going to be dirty, real dirty!

This morning I walked into work, flipped the lights on in my office, turned on my computer and looked over at my coffee mug - or should I say tea mug, since the majority of the liquid that enters the mug is hot water for my tea addiction - and I almost jump out of my seat. There is quite an unwelcome day old teabag hanging out in my mug! My first thought is the cleaning crew has obviously gotten greedy and needed to have some of my sacred Yogi tea that I let sit out on my desk. But I realize, after careful thought and examination of the quote on my yogi teabag, something even more terrifying than someone else's lips on my mug.

I have left my teabag sit overnight. In leftover tea water in my mug... I was so ashamed. Took it right to the sink washed it out. Well, looks like I have turned into one of those lazy people that leaves unwashed mugs on their desk overnight... gosh I'm dirty.

Thanks alot, Latarian Milton....

I need to start out this post by saying I love Milwaukee. I love everything the city has to offer. There is literally something different to do every single day... the energy here is awesome, there are sooooo many different choices of food, great places to shop, stop and have coffee and home to some really great bars as well. But it is a city, and with the great advantages a city has, there are also always disadvantages. City's have a higher crime rate due to many factors... but the main factor is the hood rat.

Hood rats have nothing better to do than go around and make everyone else's life miserable. They will beat you up on the street, break shit, steal your purse... maybe even your dog, steal ATM's out of gas stations... Basically anything that involves a profit for them in some way shape or form.

Definately the case on Saturday night... them hood rats were out and about on the town! Thanks for breaking into my boyfriends car and ruining his already unfavorable opinion of my home. Just wantin to do hood rat things with their hood rat friends.
